There are many excuses that writers can make for not writing. The podcast Writing Excuses shatters them. With a top-notch cast of horror and sci-fi writer Dan Wells, epic fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson, space opera web comic writer Howard Taylor, and fantasy writer Mary Robinette Kowal, this podcast is packed with great advice for aspiring writers. In each episode they cover a topic of writing in less than twenty minutes with the (slightly inaccurate) tagline "fifteen minutes long, because you're in a hurry, and we're not that smart." I've learned a lot from this podcast and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know how writing works or would like to take a shot at publication in the future.
