Have you ever wondered whose writing yours resembles? If you have, I Write Like may be perfect for you. I have had over a dozen short fiction pieces analyzed by their website iwl.me. The site can analyze any text that is at least a few paragraphs long and will give a result of what writer's work the text is most in common with. Go out and check it out, it's a lot of fun.

It said my prologue and chapter 34 was like Tolkien, my first chapter was like Neil Gaiman and a scene centered on my dragons--within chapter 34--was like Ursula K. Le Guin.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Wonderful link. I'll have to add this to my Sunday Surfing links this week.
Thank you for commenting (and reading). I was beginning to think that no one actually read any of my posts. I keep a list of all my results on the notes section of Facebook. I just checked my flash fiction from the 13th, "The Case of the Drowned Barber", which gave a result of H.P. Lovecraft. That's a bit unsettling... Another oddity, the first 800 words of my W.I.P. came up as William Shakespeare.
