A Meditation On the Night Sky

"A Meditation On the Night Sky" is a creative nonfiction essay that I wrote this winter for my Digital Magazine Production class.

  1. Love that you called me out for being a spammy little blogger on my Protein post lmao :') honestly I thought it'd be online for a day before I took it down, but the company hasn't emailed back to give me the a-OK so it ended up being more permanent than temporary. I am thirsty for the money, but honestly if you are reading it then that's 100% likely going to be the last spammy little post I do. You may have given me an epiphany?

I also read your piece, and as usual, absolutely adore it. I like the ending to it, and considering the fact that recently I've been having a whole array of existential crisis because I'm thinking about what happens when we die and how life is meaningless (I spent a few hours just freaking out, however am better now haha), it's actually pretty uplifting. Thank you for both the piece and the note that I have completely sold out all my blogging beliefs :)

    1. I’m glad to be of help, haha. I don’t really mind. You at least wrote a good post for it, even if it was spammy. If you need the money, there are worse ways to sell out.

Hey, if you ever want to talk about that anxiety, you can always shoot me an email. I check my school email the most frequently, and that’s PJS80 at Pitt.edu. And I can always redownload my IG app and use that messenger. I’m happy to just talk you through anything, but I’m also a fill-in Protestant minister if you’re interested in hearing more about the Christian faith. I’m not too pushy.

    2. Thank you for the offer. I've since decided that when I leave uni I will spend some months travelling to the holiest countries to try to get a grip on ideas of the afterlife. It just slightly terrifies me to imagine just sleeping for all eternity, as I simply can't understand how people can have so much faith in gods when there is so little proof. My dad is Catholic however, so I may just go to him about it all. If I ever need a deeper convincing however I will be sure to come to you.

    1. I could, but I have the piece hyperlinked to via the title, as written in the post (not the big title).
