Description: Just vocals for this classic Christmas hymn. Sorry the camera was facing away from me; I wanted to record immediately, and I was in my pajamas. For stylistic choices, I was inspired by the sound of the cello and the violin.
You have a really strong choir-esque voice, which makes sense considering you apparently work as a supply preacher (obviously I don't pay enough attention because I never knew that). This is a classic tune, and I always appreciate a good listen to different versions. I do think that you should invest in a good mic or something if you continue doing posts like this, as it's a shame to not have as high a quality as you could have, it would definitely make it better to listen to.
Thank you! As I wrote in my note there, the mic on my recorder was facing away from me, same as the lens, so I'm sure that was a contributor. It's supposedly a pretty good mic, but it's certainly not as high-quality as the mics real YouTube artists use. I'll certainly consider it. I mostly put these up for fun and so that I can go back and listen to them later. But yeah, as for the supply preaching, I actually just filled the pulpit at my church today. This was my tenth service in a little under three years. I just fill in when my pastor is away.
It sounds really good!
