One Day Late

Good luck to all of my Blogger friends participating in NaNoWriMo.  I "participated" (and epically failed) in 2012 and 2013, but I'm not going to attempt it this year.  I have too many things going on right now.  Maybe next year.

  1. I hope you will find time to write this month whether you are participating or not. :)

  2. I've adapted NaNo for me this year. My schedule (and writing style) essentially prohibits lofty word count goals. So... I'm attempting to tackle writing something usable (of any length) in "book 2" every day during November. Meeting that goal will bring me much satisfaction. (So far so good.) Perhaps something similar will work for you?

    1. Perhaps I could do a "write something" plan, because I'm doing a lot of informative and persuasive writing in addition to my fiction because of school and school-related assignments. I'll see. Thanks for the suggestion.

  3. I'm not participating this year either. I seem to have one 50k month in me a year and that's in June when I have more time. Also, I seem to write slower the more I learn about the craft... I guess that's not an entirely bad thing.

    1. I write quite slow, I'd say. I average around 400-500 words per hour. My problem is that I don't write 50k in fiction in a whole year because of all the other writing I do for my school newspaper, blog, county newspaper, etc. Writing slow is good, especially if it's because you're slowing down to focus on craft.
