It's funny that I haven't actually read a whole lot of Brandon's fiction, most of what I've heard from him was from his lectures, essays, and Writing Excuses.

I only read the first few chapters, but from what I read you're magic system seemed fine. I didn't really get to any resolutions though. I'm sure you'll makes some progress soon, whether its selling this book or a subsequent one. Good luck, once again.Patrick Stahlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09690555802232025818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1918357506534714894.post-43718500757319994502013-08-23T18:51:01.800-04:002013-08-23T18:51:01.800-04:00A very nice examination of Sanderson's first l...A very nice examination of Sanderson's first law of magic, Patrick. The man is a master at making magic and a super storyteller. We fantasy writers ignore Brandon's advice at our own peril.

I'm putting a measure of stock in this particular law seeing that magic is crucial to the outcome of my first Strands of Pattern manuscript. I built the framework and laid the foundation as best I could. Time will tell whether I managed to succeed.Jeff Hargetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14198367021884647821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1918357506534714894.post-54554182918231873172013-08-23T12:02:42.116-04:002013-08-23T12:02:42.116-04:00That's a good summary.
